This fantastic sterling silver brooch measures 4&7/8" east to west and 3&5/16" north to south. It has a curve that would cause it to make sense when worn in only a few places.
It could rest at the top of a woman's breast, on the shoulder, or more likely at the front of a hat. I think this may have been made to be worn on the front of a cowboy / girl hat. There are 59 pieces of very well matched bezel set blue turquoise. Applied rope, bead and scroll details provide the finishing touches for this one of a kind piece! Likely from the mid 70's. The only information I have about Angela Lee is that she was a silversmith for Bill Hall, John Skinner and Steve Skinner at different times. She was from the Prewitt, New Mexico region. Please enlarge the photos for detail. The hat is not included. Angela Lee, Navajo, Sterling Silver Turquoise Brooch, Cowboy Hat Pin" is in sale since Friday, November 15, 2019.
