Vintage Coral Sterling Concho Pendant Pin Oval Navajo Native American E Nelson. This is a wonderful sterling silver oval concho pin/pendant with a perfect oval coral cabochon set in the center. The coral is set in a smooth bezel which is surrounded with "fleur de lis" style hand stamp work. The entire outer edge of the concho is stamped as are each of the scallops. For a smaller piece, a lot of work went into this one. The pin/pendant is 2 1/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall. The coral cabochon is 5/16" by 3/16".

The opening of the bale is about 3/16. It weighs 12.3 g. The artist's hallmark is E.

An outline of a rocking horse has also been stamped on the back, indicating the artisan studio Rocking Horse Ranch. This studio was active in Arizona in the 1970's and'80's, owned by Kevin Randall.

The designers and Native American artists at Rocking Horse focused on silversmithing and bringing back designs and techniques of the early 1900's. This pin/pendant is new old stock, a piece coming from prior store inventory. Touch of Turquoise invites you to Wear the West!
