This is a listing for a vintage circa 1920's to 1940's Navajo or Zuni pendant and brooch combination. It's in superb antique condition with it's original patina and features the highest grade natural unstabilized turquoise stone from the Cerrillos mine. It's done in a cluster style perfected by both the Zuni and the Navajo Native American artists. This is a larger sized piece with a length of 3 and 5/8th inches. It's 2.75 inches in width and weighs a substantial 49 grams.

That is a lot of weight for a pendant or pin and reflects the generous amount of turquoise. The turquoise is the very best natural unstabilized stone with a beautiful range of colors that shade from bright blue to teal green.

Each stone was mounted tightly in an extra deep bezel, which reflects the early time frame of it's construction. The bezels have a hand cut intricate serrated edge that folds over the top of each stone holding it tightly. Beautiful construction which is evidenced by it's antique age and lack of damage to any of the stones.

There are 51 stones with various cuts. Most are oval shape with tear drop and round cut stones as accents. The oval stones average 8 by 4mm.

The large tear drop accents on top are 5 by 11mm. The round stones are 7mm across and the smaller tear drop stones are 4 by 10mm. All of the stones are cut with a nicely domed surface, seen in old pieces and the pattern is beautifully balanced for shape, size and color.

Very tiny drops of silver accent the inner row of oval stones and small stamped drops of silver circle the outside row of turquoise and separate the 4 large turquoise tear drops on the very top. This is a rare piece that will look amazing whether worn with your beads or as a brooch. The pin has a locking clasp and the bail is extra sturdy, obviously hand wrought with heavy strong gauged sterling and made to last.
