Coolest pin i have ever seen. I lament that i do not currently have a scale, so cannot offer the pin's weight. When i got that pin/pendant about 20 years ago, my friend could not believe that it as an alien done in this fine silversmithing.
She paused and then said, well, i guess they watch the x-files too : quite a sleek, sinewy (more than a tad, reminds of the fresno nightstalker) guy. Genuine opal, onyx, sterling silver. How perfect is that the artist used opal for the eyes? It has hardily been worn because i end up just enjoying looking at it (harder to do when you have it on).The pin really speaks for itself. Just one of the coolest little objects i have seen. It's a museum quality piece. See second to last image; here in text: «sterling» «V» for award-winning navajo jewelry artisan robert vandever. See third image; here in text: height: 2" width/girth: 1/2" height of pin from pin closure to front of pin: 3/8. I defer to its next caretaker whether or not to polish the silver. I would not, but if you chose to, be very careful to avoid the opal. And, if you accidentally do, remove the polish thoroughly. The images are the majority of the listing description, so take a look at them closely. Trying to downsize some, though extremely melancholically. I appreciate you taking the time to view my listing.
