Native American Navajo Signed Spiderweb Turquoise Butterfly Pin Sterling Silver

  

This heavy sterling silver butterfly pin has a lovely spiderweb turquoise cabochon mounted in a handmade bezel on the back. The turquoise cab is a long oval with extensive brown matrix. It is stamped on the back with "Sterling" and does have an artist Hallmark "AJC" which appears to be the mark of Albert and Jeanette Cleveland (Navajo).

In mechanism functions and is in good condition. It has very heavy stamp work texturing on the wings and tail. Pin is 2 1/4 inches long and roughly 1 1/2 inches wide.
