Navajo'H. BEGAYE'Large Blue Gem Sterling Pin/Pendant

  

This pin is apart of a collection that comes from a influential Santa Fe collector who has had this stored away & has been well kept, until asking me to sell it... I have jewelry pieces listed from this collector, so take a look! The large stone is cut in a free form style & is framed by an ornate style setting. This is a heavy pendant/pin & if used as a pin, it would work best on a heavier garment or hat, because of it's weight.

If worn as a pendant, nothing larger than 4 mm, would fit through it.. You could however, put an additional larger jump ring wire through the bale to accommodate a larger necklace. MEASUREMENT: 2-5/8" Wide X 2" Tall. STONE: Blue Gem (I do believe this is stabilized). STONE MEASUREMENT: 58.6 mm x 44.6 mm(2-1/4" x 1-3/4").

Free of Cracks, chips, etc. Because the stone is Free Form, it was cut to slant higher on one side than the other, to balance it out, to properly sit in the bezel, it should have had something put under the lower slanted side to raise it somewhat, to equal the other side.

Because of the slant, the bezel looks like it separate itself from the stone.. The stone is not loose & is in there tight, but aesthetically, I notice these things & it comes from having that'eye' for workmanship, from having been a jeweler. I feel, if you had it on & were talking to someone, Its nothing that they would notice. This will be reflective in the price.
