1960s Navajo Old Pawn High Grade Natural Deep Blue Persian Spiderweb Water Web Turquoise Brooch Pin High Grade Natural; Earthy Brown Matrix, Sterling Silver 1 3/4L x 7/8"W at the widest points; the turquoise stone measures 1 1/4"L x 3/4"W x 3/8"Deep at the dome Weight. Beautiful blue turquoise taking millions of years to form; dark reddish brown earthy spider webbed matrix with a superficial fissure in the matrix lower left. This beautiful brooch can easily be converted into a beautiful Pendant or Ring by a jeweler, if one would desire. I modeled the stone as a large turquoise ring in one of the pictures. The stone is etched on the back with the letters "AOXY"which I believe is an old pawn shop marking.

Turquoise Water Webbed Stone is is set in a straight edge setting; then the artisan wrapped a beautiful inset braided rope around the stone and decorated the silver work with scrolls and raindrops around the perimeter. It is otherwise unsigned by the artist as was normal for older pieces made for personal use. I was told this might be a fossilized pseudomorph clam which was replaced by turquoise over millinnea.
