About the pendant, pin or brooch: Lets start in the center; we have an ½ diameter Sunface deity consisting of an amazing six separate, hand cut mosaic inlay of shimmering white mother pearl, genuine blood red coral, black jet, gold lipped mother of pearl and robin's egg blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise. Surrounding the Sunface deity are eight channel and mosaic inlaid sections of white iridescent mother of pearl clouds tipped with black jet storm clouds. This round eagle feather array represents stormy rain clouds, which is a good thing in the desert!

My favorite part of this Sunface pendant is the sterling silver round ball adornments representing raindrops which sit in between the eight sections of storm cloudsI love that embellishment!!! What is best about this delightful piece of Zuni craftsmanship. Ill repeat about the raindrops; I dont see many current artist creating the Sunface with the raindrop techniqueit is a vintage technique.

The inlays, both channel and mosaic, are as smooth as a babys bottomexpertly crafted piece! The rain & clouds; it would have been easier to place one stone inlay in those eight sections, but not this artist, she has 24 triangle and oval stone/shell cuts representing the clouds.

The versatility using the fantastic piece of Zuni history as a pendant or as a brooch. Again, the artist wants to make you happy by having more options! Ok, that was my 2-cents. Since the pendant was a preowned item, I cleaned it with an electromagnetic cleaner with sanitizer so its ready to wearyay clap clap clap!!!
