Have a look at this sweet little hand made roadrunner pin by the Hopi artisan Allen Pooyouma! It's nice to find Hopi work from the great older makers, and I'm delighted to give you a chance to collect it. The workmanship on this pin is stunning, there's a similar roadrunner of his pictured in Messier and Messier's book Reassessing Hallmarks of Native Southwest Jewelry but this one is its superior as far as detail goes: check out the finely cut comb and beak of the bird, wow! It measures 1 1/2 inches across the widest part and a bit under 3/4 inch up-and-down. The piece as a whole is in good vintage condition, with no breaks or repairs.
The pin back functions just as it should. The reverse is hallmarked with Pooyouma's corn ear hallmark and "sterling". Thanks for looking, have a great day, and keep watching here for more listings of Navajo and other Southwest jewelry, I list weekly!
