Southwestern Native American Indian multi-stone inlay Sterling silver Knifewing kachina pin / brooch / pendant, unmarked. This shiny Knifewing showcases a geometric mosaic beautifully inlaid with turquoise, mother of pearl, spiny oyster, and jet or onyx, on a stone-on-stone fashion.
The Knifewing was crafted with the traditional 8 sections, set in serrated bezel-boxes, and adorned with silver appliques on top. The Knifewing figure sits on a silver setting that extends below the wings and bottom garment, nicely cut to resemble feathers. This lovely pendant has an open hook bale, and can accommodate chains that are about 1/16 thick or slightly thicker.
It weighs about 40.5 grams, and it's 3 3/16" tall by almost 3 5/16" wide, from wing tip to wing tip. A nice collector's item. Note: The spiny oyster shell on the headdress has a crack, but the stone remains secure in its bezel. Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
