Fabulous vintage Native American handmade brooch. Marked with a small S denoting that it was handmade from a silver slug by a Native American silversmith for the Southwest Arts & crafts shop. Noted silversmiths who worked for the shop include Mark Chee, Joe Quintana, Ambrose Roanhorse, David Taliman, and others. Among other others, the shop supplied the Fred Harvey company and national parks gift shops in the 1930s and 1940s. Shows some wear, and heavy patina.

This piece will have light wear. Most silver pieces have patina.
