Vintage Hopi Steven Sockyma Overlay Crow Mother Sterling Silver/brass Brooch Pin
Beautiful vintage overlay Crow Mother brooch pin by Hopi Steven Sockyma for Hopicrafts Shop. The top overlay is sterling silver, and the bottom plate appears to be made of brass. HOPI STEVEN SOCKYMA Steven learned Hopi silversmithing at the Hopicrafts shop.
Hopicrafts was started by Wayne and Emory Sekaquaptewa. Steven began silversmithing in 1969.
His clan is CORN, village is HOTEVILLA. Brother of Hopi silversmiths Michael & Mitchell Sockyma.
The marks on this piece are from when Steven first started and was working at Hopicrafts shop, his mark is his intials SS connected, along with the Hopicrafts shop mark HC. We acid test all of our jewelry.
