Vintage Navajo Butterfly Pin/pendant, Sterling Silver
The stones in this amazing Butterfly are natural, high grade Fox Turquoise. The bold, deep, rich color of the turquoise is stunning and eye-catching. The silver work is nicely done and the patina on the silver is age-appropriate. It is 1 7/8" tall and the wingspan is just shy of 2" wide. It weighs 26.4 grams.
The hallmark is a bear. It's the mark for Running Bear Trading in Gallup, NM. The shop employs Navajo silver smiths to make jewelry. Running Bear has been in operation since the 1970's.
