Rare Zuni Multi-inlay collectable Knifewing set by Tom Weahkee. Set available includes concho belt, pin, bracelet and ring. Red second place ribbon shows date this set was entered into the Inter-Tribal Ceremonial "1969".
Tom Weahkee is a featured artist in one of the three Zuni Blue Book series. Measurements & weight are as follows: Concho Belt: Each concho measures 2 1/2" H x 2" W x 1/8" D Total length of belt is 28"L. The pin backing could be easily be removed and then the pin could become another concho to make the belt a little longer for wearing as we realize that not everyone has a 28 waist. There are other ways of making the concho belt longer as well. The conchos could be mounted on leather to the wearer's size. Or additional antiqued silver spacers could be added either at the end of the belt or in between each concho. Bracelet: 2 1/4" H x 2" W x 1/4" D Wrist inside measurement all the way around including opening: 6 1/2" Opening alone is 7/8W.Pin: 2 1/2" H x 2 1/8"W x 3/16"D Ring: 1 3/4" H x 1 1/2 W Ring Size 6 3/4 When not being worn this displays nicely as shown, concho belt & pin using a black linen background in shadowbox frame. This entire set is extraordinary & exquisite, valuable, rare & collectable due to the artistry, the artist quality and the fact that this is one of a kind.
