Zuni Masterpiece: Beautiful, Finely Handmade, Lifelike Zuni Quail Pendant and Pin. This lovely vintage Zuni sterling multi-stone inlay quail pendant and pin is in very good vintage condition. It is more lifelike than most Zuni quail pendants: the bird's rounded shape and alert posture are very much like a living quail. The inlay includes coral, jet, and several kinds of shell.

This piece is most likely from the 1960's. Quails of this type are not being made today and are increasingly rare. The pendant tests positive for sterling. The pin is in good working condition. It is signed PACKWOOD and stamped STERLING on the reverse. Zuni inlay work is collected internationally because of its intricate detail and fine inlay work. It measures 1 3/8 inches tall and 1 inch wide. It is lightweight and easy to wear. The chain is for display only and is not included.
