There is a large oval turquoise in the center that is greenish in color with brown matrix. The pin was handcrafted by Navajo artisan Albert Cleveland and is signed "AC" & "sterling". Albert Cleveland is renowned for his traditional jewelry made with old tools from his family. The eagle's wings are extended side to side with the head facing to the right.
There is a nice patina on the pin which displays the silver work beautifully. The eagle can be worn as a pendant and layered nicely with other Native American jewelry (see photos). The clasp on the back of the pin/pendant is in working condition and holds securely. There are no chips or cracks in the turquoise (which is genuine). The stone is secure in the setting. There are a few light surface scratches on the pin as expected in pre-owned jewelry.
The pin is in excellent pre-owned condition. Width (side to side): 2 3/4.Length (top to bottom at widest point): 1 5/8. Size of oval turquoise: 7/8" x 5/8". The eagle brooch & pendant is a very traditional Navajo design with beautiful silver work and turquoise. This vintage Cleveland pin would be a great addition to any Native American jewelry collection. Please examine the photos to assess the condition for yourself.
