Gorgeous Stone Inlay and Sterling Silver Vintage large Knifewing pendant/pin/brooch crafted by famed Zuni master silversmith Alonzo Hustito. His initials and hallmark are clearly stamped on the back of the pendant.
According to several noted authorities, Alonzo Hustito is credited as the originator of the Rainbow Man and Knifewing figures in Zuni jewelry. Active 1930's 80's. This impressive pendant is 2 1/4" high X 2 " wide.
The inlay is stone on stone craftsmanship. All stones are securely set in Sterling Silver mounting.
There is a loop for chain to wear as a pendant. The pin and c-clasp work well.
I see no chips or cracks in the stones. This pendant is in very good vintage condition. There are slight surface scratches, patina and very little wear. I have not cleaned it. The detail in design and stamping is elegant and beautiful.
