Collector Zuni Native American LEEKYA Bird Brooch Pin Inlay Natural Turquoise

  
This is your chance to own a piece of Zuni history! This beautiful vintage thunderbird inlay brooch is made from sterling silver inlaid with natural turquoise and is the work of one of the children of the great Zuni artist Leekya Deyuse. It's very difficult to attribute to a specific artist because it is not signed, but similar brooches have been attributed to Sarah Leekya, Alice Leekya Homer, and Francis Leekya. It is a very nice piece from a famous family of Zuni silversmiths and it will make a wonderful addition to your Native American jewellery collection! The dimensions are: Length: 2 1/8" Width: 2" Weight: 11.9g It is unstamped and unsigned but tests as sterling silver. It was likely made mid-Century (1940s-60s).
