Native american sterling silver frog pin

  

I think this is a native American piece it is artist signed but could not locate who the person is so please determine for yourself if the piece is native American or not this is a fresh estate piece which has not been cleaned so it has it's original patina in worn used condition I think it's signed LSP not sure about the P if anyone knows who the artist is would love the help.
