Old Navajo Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Native American Brooch Pin 3in Wide. This extraordinary old Native American pin was handcrafted in the 1940s-1950s by a Navajo silversmith using a blue Kingman cabochon turquoise and sterling silver. The entire surface of the handcrafted brooch is hand-stamped with lines radiating out from the stone and individual intricate hand-stamped designs at each rounded edge.
The turquoise stone is securely set in a handmade sawtooth bezel. This is a wonderful example of mid-century Navajo silverwork. It measures 3-1/8" wide by 1-1/4" high and weighs 17.57 grams. There is no hallmark, which is common for older pieces, but it is stamped STERLING.
This stunning old Native American sterling silver and Kingman turquoise brooch is in very good condition, as shown in the photos. Has not been professionally cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina. Please see the photos as they are part of the description and to assess the condition.
