This is a Signed LS Navajo Butterfly Pendant Pin Sterling Turquoise Handmade Stamped C1940s. Very good to excellent pre-owned condition. The pin is completely handmade with hand stamped decoration. There is a hook/bail so the butterfly can be worn on a chain as a pendant. The butterfly body includes an oval turquoise stone that is in a sawtooth bezel setting. The butterfly is marked Sterling with a conjoined LS artist's mark. The pin has a secure roll over clasp. Lightly tarnished with soft mellow patina.

Very nice pin for a collection of Navajo figural jewelry. Butterflies were one of the most desired designs in the early tourist trade during the 1940's into the 50's. Measures: 1 3/4" long; 1 7/8" wide.
