Vintage Fred Harvey Era Navajo Sterling Silver & Natural Turquoise Pin Brooch

  
On offer is an authentic, vintage Fred Harvey Era Native American Navajo hand wrought Sterling Silver pin/brooch adorned with a beautiful old hand cut and polished desert southwest blue green turquoise cabochon stone. The stone is surrounded by raindrop beading, rope and fancy wire work. The pin/brooch is also decorated with large bump out nailheads and fancy hand stamped applied arrowheads. The pin/brooch is not hallmarked which was common in Native American silver work prior to 1970. We believe this piece was created circa 1930 or perhaps earlier. This fine classic pin/brooch was skillfully crafted in the traditional Navajo technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The pin back is in good working order. The beautiful, gem quality old blue green turquoise stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by fancy silver wire work.

The oval shaped cabochon stone measures approx. 5/8" long x 3/8" wide. 2 5/8" long x 3/4" tapering to 3/8 wide and weighs 13.7 grams.
