Handmade during the 1960s by a talented Navajo artisan. 925 sterling silver crafted into the motif of a butterfly. The body of the brooch features a large silver bead comprising the butterfly's head, two delicate antenna, and hand-hammered stamped geometric designs decorating the edges of the wings. The light blue Royston turquoise stone adorns the center of the butterfly.

Completed with a pin stem and a locking "c" clasp, allowing it to be worn on a variety of accessories, including hats, scarves, and lapels, among many others. This listing is for the item only. Royston turquoise is a Nevada turquoise famous for being one of the few naturally green forms of turquoise in the world.

It ranges in color from rich forest green and aqua blue offset by a heavy golden-brown matrix. Occasionally true-blue turquoise is found, along with spiderweb turquoise varieties.
